How to take a screenshot?


On an Android device


  1. Open the screen that you want to capture.
  2. Press and hold the power and volume down buttons at the same time for a few seconds. On some devices, you need to press and hold the power and home buttons.
  • Usually, your screen will blink and you will see a notification that your screenshot has been saved.
  • The screenshot captured is normally saved in the photos/pictures gallery.

On an iPhone/iPad


  1. Open the screen that you want to capture.
  2. Press and hold the sleep/wake button, then immediately press and release the home button.
  • Your screen will blink once when the screenshot is saved.
  • You can find the saved screenshot in the Photos app.

On a Mac computer


  1. Open the screen that you want to capture.
  2. Press command, shift, and 3 keys at the same time.
  • Normally, you will hear a camera shutter sound effect when a screen is captured.
  • You can find the saved screenshot on your Desktop. If you use Dropbox, it may be in the Screenshot folder.

On a Windows computer


  1. Find and open the Snipping Tool from the search box.
  2. In Snipping Tool, select the arrow next to the New button, choose the kind of snip you want, and then pick the area of your screen that you want to capture.
  3. After you capture a snip, select the Save Snip button. In the Save As box, enter a file name, location, and type, and then select Save.
